COURSE OBJECTIVES
– This course introduces the fresh clinical student to basic oral medical practices and principles guiding use of therapeutics in dental patients.
– At the end of the course, the student should be able to know how oral health relates to general health.
– He/She should also be able to differentiate the classes of therapeutics that are used in Dentistry.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
- This course introduces the student to the dental patient, history taking and clinical examination and the complementary use of X-rays views.
- It as gives an insight into the challenges posed by a difficult patient.

- Introduction to the dental patient: his anxieties, fears, and manners. An insight into the challenges posed by a difficult patient and methods of patient’s control.

- This course exposes the student to make up of the periodontium and the oral environment.

- Advanced imaging techniques that are available to the dental surgeon are taught with an introduction to radiation therapy.
